FX Code Maintenance Process

The EACT code registry is a free service offered by the EACT to non-financial corporations willing to make public their adherence to the Global FX code.

ADMISSION to the registry: after submission of the information by the market participant, the EACT may contact the market participant before posting the adherence on its registry in the Corporate Treasury Department GFXC category. The EACT will assess whether the candidate belongs to its community.

REMOVAL from the registry: a market participant registered on the EACT registry may at any time ask to be removed from the registry by sending a request to fxglobalcode@eact.eu

The EACT will action such a request immediately after verifying that the requesting party represents the market participant.

MAINTENANCE: each year, on the anniversary quarter of the admission to the registry of a market participant, an email will be sent to the registrant to remind it of its presence on the registry, of the date of the latest version of the code and of the removal and maintenance processes.

Market participants are encouraged to inform the EACT of changes in contact details.

The EACT assumes no responsibility for (a) verifying the accuracy or validity of a market participant’s Statement, or (b) monitoring adherence to the Code by market participants listed in the register, or (c) verifying whether market participants are within the defined scope of market participants covered by the public register.
